What Are You Looking For?

Current Corvette

The latest Corvette Stingray gets the muscular 6.2L V8 LT1 engine that cranks out 455 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, or 460 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque with the sport exhaust. This is the most powerful base Corvette ever made. Upgrade to the Corvette Z06 and you get a supercharged version of the same engine that produces an astonishing 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. That model will run from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 3.0 seconds. Cars that cost many times as much as the Corvette fail to live up to that performance.

Of course, the Corvette also comes loaded with smart features. Every version gets features like heated mirrors, automatic dual zone climate control, keyless ignition and entry, the OnStar telematics system complete with OnStar 4G LTE connectivity and an in-car WiFi hotspot, the Chevy MyLink infotainment system, and more!

Reviews

2015 Chevy Corvette

The Corvette has racked up stellar reviews from the top automotive info sources:

  • “With its improved automatic transmission and reinvented, ridiculously fast Z06 variant, the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette bolsters its credentials as the world’s best performance-car bargain.” – Edmunds
  • “It’s not quite perfect, but damn is it close, and we have a feeling it will only get better.” – Motor Trend
  • “The Corvette Stingray—the seventh generation, or C7—competes with the world’s greatest sports cars, and once again we’ve named it to our 10Best list. With a 6.2-liter V-8 making 460 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque, you can now choose an eight-speed automatic transmission in addition to the standard seven-speed manual. It sheds its unrefined reputation and has an interior befitting its stature. Offered as a targa or convertible, the Corvette is a performance bargain that you must drive to believe.” – Car and Driver

Future Corvette

The Corvette will only get better as time goes on, but since the most recent seventh generation debuted as a 2014 model, it’s unlikely that we’ll see any huge changes for some time. What we probably have to look forward to may be a few more performance models. Chevy could put out a Corvette ZR1, with a turbocharged version of the same small block V8 for even more power.

Chevy is apparently also already working on the next generation of the Corvette—and the rumor is that it will be a mid-engine car. A mid-mounted engine would allow the Corvette to move even more quickly thanks to superior weight distribution. This new Corvette, rumored to be called the Corvette Zora, will aim to compete directly with expensive rivals like the Lamborghini Aventador and the Ferrari La Ferrari, when it debuts sometime around 2017.
